The windows at our front door are not stained glass. The colors were beautiful, anyway. From our windows we have daily views in three directions of the mountains, but our kitchen window is the favorite. From there we see the rocky, often snowy peak of Mount Cheam. I wonder why they spelled it that way. Why not spell it as it is pronounced: Shem. What a sham. The kitchen window was also vulnerable to freezing rain, this year, and became a work of abstract art.

Dani, as I have often seen her, nearly swept away like a leaf. This time, she was chasing across the fields to get close to the birds: ducks, geese, and swans.

We had an unusually heavy amount of snow, this winter. The photo of our house is especially interesting, however. Compare it to fall photos and you’ll see a very fast growing tree. Here’s Dani at Chilliwack River.
