Here are two cooking experiences: Siyao (my stepson) with a killer-sized lobster, and Dani with a post-boiled pig’s skull. She decided to bring home a head and make some head cheese. Because, of course. The woman has skills.
Fall
Mount Robson Park -- obscured by clouds. This is the gravesite for mother and father of Yao Dan, Shao Fang, Yao Hong and their brother; for grandmother and grandfather of YaoYao, Siyao, Tim Qu and Li Yao; the spot where the family gathered in June to inter their ashes. I included this photo here because in the fall, on the day YaoYao’s parents were returning to China, we visited. This -- with mushrooms, leaves and the sun on the colors of fall -- is how we left it.
Fall was the busiest time of the year. In addition to a journey through BC to Alberta, we set aside a day to visit Hope, another day to see Whistler, and on other days we went to the salmon hatching facility and to local parks. Here’s a partial photographic record of our activities. I had to add more pages to try include all the highlights: BC Fun, AB1, and AB2.
