Summer
This summer we had so many plums and apples that I didn’t know what to do with them all. I did some baking, and even shared some of that with a neighbor, but I couldn’t keep up. I started spraying for Codling Moths in the sprin and it seems to have worked. I sprayed every two weeks and in the end about half our apples were free of larvae. That’s much better than 2018 when we may have had five apples tht were untouched. We spent a day at Harrison Lake, caught the last part of the Chilliwack airshow, and picked Black Berries by the pail -- we never tired of eating them. They also blend well with apples in a pie.
Picking Blackberries at the Fraser River. Harrison Lake Dani’s brother, scaring the weaklings on the beach at Harrison Lake So many plums. This is the first year the tree bloomed. A Chinese aircraft at the Chilliwack Airshow. Dani: novice first responder! Blue Heron nicely posed; Shutter speed, too slow. The Yao Gang. :D
And we celebrate Dani’s birthday, every summer. The cake has half with icing and half without because many people find the icing too sweet. Six candles on the icing, and one on the other side.
